Childhood & Family

BR's birth ( Birth Place ) was in a small village in Madhya Pradesh. They Mahar caste ( Mahar Caste were Marathi family). Those who considered the lowest as untouchable. He was the 14th child of his parents.

His ancestors had worked for British East India Company for a long time. In this sequence, his father, Ramji Maloji Sakpal, was employed on the subedar in the British Indian Army. His mother was Bhimabai Murbadkar Sakpal.

Educational Life

Due to being a lower caste, they had to struggle to get everything from birth to birth. Their early education started in nearby schools.

Career

After completion of studies, came to India and according to the condition, Badaoud started working in the state high post. But soon he had to leave the job due to social illness-untouchability. Then he started working as a Financial Advisor. But this work had to be stopped too. Because people knew that they were dalits.
Bhimrao came to Mumbai in 1918 and worked as a professor of Political Economy at Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics. Everything was going well here

Conflict with untouchables

They started practicing law in the Bombay High Court. During this time, he was constantly trying to educate the dalit people about education.
In order to sharpen his efforts, he brought out many magazines such as Silent Hero, Excluded India, Equality Janta, Speech . But the excluded Hitkarini Sabha was their first attempt.
In 1927, he decided that the movement against untouchability would be done. The right to enter the Hindu temple with this unacceptable abolition movement and the right to take water from the Man Tank of the city.
And he also condemned Manusmriti, who distributed the people to the caste, and on December 25, 1927, along with his colleagues, many copies of Manusmriti were handed over to the fire. It is also known as Manusmriti Dahan Din and it is celebrated on December 25 every year.
With constant agitation, he defeated the sleep of the heads of upper castes and on 25 September 1932 there was a historic settlement between him and Madan Mohan Malaviya, which is known as Poona Pact. According to this agreement, the dalits were given reservation seats in provincial legislatures.
In 1935, he formed a Political Party under the name of the Independent Labor Party. But he did not get any special success in politics.

On 29 August 1947, he was appointed by the Congress as the first law minister of India. Apart from this, he was made the Chairman of the Constitution Producer Committee and he created a new history by creating tireless efforts in the form of the largest Constitution of the world in 2 years 11 months and 18 days. Which was implemented on January 26, 1950.
